Creative Shot

I finally got the chance to fulfill my mood board last Saturday. The studio was jam packed and we didn't expected other schools to join us. It did slowed down the process when they came. :( Anyways, I just hope the next batch will be warned about the studio's services. The make-up artists were all snob, the photos were amateur [and they didn't have a good eye on angles!]. We hope that the pictures, when they're edited, it'll look passe.

Actually, I realized when I saw my poses and pictures -- OMG. What have I done? I mean, if I insist being a geisha here, I had defiled them! I showed off my skin which is a taboo for geisha's. So as a disclaimer note: I don't represent geisha's in the pictures; And they don't behave like that. HAHA! I'll just be someone who wore a kimono and posed some sexy stuffs. ('Cause I like sexy stuffs and everyone like sexy stuffs. Charaught!)

Allison, Rossette, Me. @ the dressing room.

The kimono I rented was fabulous! It's in midnight blue and it compliments the red obi. I really felt like I turned Japanese. LOL.

Allison rented an authentic Korean traditional dress. She dressed as a married woman since her hair was tied and she had a fake hair bun on the back. (One that you can see in the koreanovelas.) I even tried that traditional dress!

Told ya. Even if it looks big on me. :D

OKAY. HERE WERE MY SHOTS. Too grainy because it was taken from my friend's cellphone. Too bad I didn't brought a goodie camera. I was disappointed when dad doesn't want me to borrow his camera. #strugglesofadaughtertoherdadwhoisacameracollector/photographer. LOL.
They are all edited (lighting and other fixing).

Small nalang yan ha. Baka ma-Ban ako sa Blogger. HAHAHAHA!

editing credits to Jilliane. :)

My favorite pose. How I wish I have hi-res photo of this. T_T

Bey also tried the kimono! I used the techniques of wearing a kimono traditionally, but I intentionally lowered down than the 3 finger rule at the back because it is sexyyyy. HAHA!

Kimono really looks well on her.

We also have our own BTS/Kulitan moments, we took pictures and made some skits out of it. :D

HAHAHAHAHA. Sorry. Korny lang.

After choosing the best toga, filipiniana, business attire and the creative shot, I felt sad. OH MY, college life passed me by so fast! T_T Babay student life after 3 months!

Mood Board: Geisha

The plan for my graduation creative shot is to channel my inner Japanese fanatic and be a geisha for one day. :D I chose Sayuri in Memoirs of a Geisha as my lead character to portray. I love every bit of that character! The movie takes me into the old times. I love old times, especially Japan. <3

[Grabbed from Google Images by searching "Sayuri Memoirs of a Geisha" on it.]

Today, I went to the costume store and reserved my midnight blue yukata and a ready made red obi and its bunko. I also got fickle-minded when I chose the right kimono (for me on the costume store) because I always think of Hatsumomo. >:( HAHA! I also love her character there, so tenacious and gorgeous too! I like her hair when its down. I'm going to have my hair straightened to achieve this! I can't find any hair accessories [of a geisha] to rent here in the PH. My plan now is to look for a make-up that can be natural, but not too overboard like those Maiko ladies. I guess lighter foundation, smoky eyes, red lippie and liquid eyeliners can do the trick. Simplicity is more!

See?! I can't make up my mind. I'll just mix them up on Saturday. HAHA! Good luck to meee! I think I have Japanese fever in my body again. I feel that I can do anything for this obsession! HAHA! I even caught myself talking with my friends that I should watch the movie again so that I can portray Sayuri with her acts and all! I never imagined talking like that. The fever beguiled me!

I have to get ready because the photo shoot will be on Saturday! :(
Ugh. I am so pressured. Phew.

Kaze, keep calm and be a geisha. :D

I'll update soon!

Lifeguard Moment

grabbed from my always updated Instagram. :D
Lifeguard shirt from Alaska (from Kuya) | Billabong shorts

My family went to Circle Island Resort for some bonding time while ate Cristy and her family is still here [They'll go home to Australia soon]. The place was great plus we had our own karaoke at our kubo. After the bonding we went to church. I am so tired with the kids and all. :( Hahaha!

Anyways, I got another giveaways from ate. :))) HAHA! It was a 2 pc swimsuit that I never had the chance to wear because I am depressed about my currently gaining weight. HAHA! Oh well. It's another motivation to lose some pounds I got. >_<

Isn't it cute? :)

Long Hiatus and New Years

I've been too much hibernating in my red bedroom for 2 months.. [I'm loving my red bed sheets!] But seriously, my camera has been broken and I don't have any ways to summon my blogging creativity when I don't have good pictures. They're like my encouragement for writing! :( *sob*  But that doesn't mean I'm lethargic in real life, I was just too busy....and lazy. It's one of the bloggers' sickness in which I don't fight - hiatus. HAHA! ;)

Anyways, I would like to greet HAPPY NEW YEAR to my lovely readers! (I hope I still have one after the long hiatus [and pounds again] I got.) I hope 2013 will be as kind as I had last 2012. I always pray to thank God for the blessings and for my family to be safe and healthy this year.

I don't make resolutions because its not in my random fashion to be obediently doing those. I usually look forward and plan on my next journeys of my life this year. Reaching my goals is also like resolutions for me. And it sounds good (not pressured). I am so excited to reach the end of my college years. This means that another chapter of my life will open this year, and I'm getting ready for it. :)

One thing's for sure, the next few months will be debilitating as ever with thesis defense and all. But as a blogger [and as a student], time management is very crucial. And I will try [try lang talaga. T_T HAHA!] to blog even if the pictures will be from my phone. This will be so fun. [*sarcasm intended] I have too many stories to tell you! This January is fully booked too! I hope I can borrow a trusty camera by then.

Speaking of cameras, I'll try to buy a new camera this year or buy a trusty battery on my old one. D: Since new digicams will show up on the 1st-2nd quarter of 2013, I'll wait and make better decisions when I haz the money. HAHA!

New posts will be up soon! :)
